The Astoria, Portsmouth’s premier nightclub, with three floors of music and an exclusive VIP area, has something for everyone to enjoy.
The most popular nightclub in town, also renowned for the best student nights, The Astoria is the home of Oh La La, The Eskimo Project, and Dirty Disco.
The Grade II listed former Palace Cinema building – designed by Victorian architect Arthur Edward Cogswell – is as impressive as the nightclub itself.
Located in the city centre's popular Guildhall Walk, it’s the perfect venue for the nightclub.
With this fantastic building situated amongst some of the south coast's busiest bars, the team saw an investment opportunity which couldn't be overlooked.
Just Develop It purchased the Grade II listed Palace Cinema building in January, 2013 and after decades of neglect, the building was given the green light for restoration.
Following a £1 million investment in the summer of 2013 to refurbish and revive the site, The Astoria nightclub opened its doors for the first time that September, with a very special weekend of entertainment, ushering in a new era for a historically rich building.
